I don't think it's ugly.

I have to vote ugly.

The garage doors, driveways, and strips of grass have an awkward suburban Ontario/Quebec vibe, but I don't mind the levels above the garage doors. Windows are always a good thing as far as I'm concerned. And I mention that because windows seem to be an afterthought on a fair number of recent developments.

VW is referring to the Shelbourne St. townhouses as ugly. I guess he prefers that Toronto project instead. (yes I did just assume his gender. btw are we going to get preferred pronoun fields in our user profiles here now that it's 2021?)

I wondered where this "modern" townhouse project was being proposed. The Shelbourne project isn't so much ugly as just terribly uninspired.

2 Aryze projects in Fairfield are going to public hearing @ Council on Thursday Jan 28:

Interesting projects but 1224 Richardson is actually not one of Aryze's proposals. 1224 Richardson is technically located in Rockland so this should bring out the usual Nimby crowd for sure!

Was bored - decided on my day off to get a shovel and start the excavation of the lot behind the Falls. Didn’t get too far. Might fill it in later.
I saw this as well, but what project is it ... nothing on the Story website about it/

Just a tiny two-storey National Car Rental building.

This looks very cool. Any guesses where this might be? Aryze posted this to their Twitter account, said that the location in Vic West is "classified" and they'll reveal the location after some refinements within a few weeks. I tried to figure out the location based just on road markings but they don't really make any sense. It looks like a street corner of some sort. Possibly an office building (no balconies) with what looks like commercial on the ground floor. This looks like the kind of thing I'd expect on Harbour Road, but the fact that it's a street corner doesn't make sense with that. Possibly somewhere on Esquimalt Road west of Bayview?

I don't think there are really any hints to be given from the surrounding landscape in the rendering, beyond it being a street corner. The road on the right appears to have a buffered bike lane on one side of the street, but not the other, with no centre line. There's no street that looks like that in Vic West, so I would assume all of the other trees, telephone poles, etc. are just generic scenery.

Craigflower at Belton?

What about this says Craigflower at Belton? The lane markings aren't right and the trees aren't right.
