I think we all guessed it at least one time, didn't we?

Normally how it goes is you take your winnings and you go home.

Hopefully the prize this time will facilitate portioning among multiple winners. I'm sure we all remember the debacle from a few years ago re: the Lexus giveaway.

That wasn't a Lexus, we borrowed the badges.

This looks very cool. Any guesses where this might be? Aryze posted this to their Twitter account, said that the location in Vic West is "classified" and they'll reveal the location after some refinements within a few weeks. I tried to figure out the location based just on road markings but they don't really make any sense. It looks like a street corner of some sort. Possibly an office building (no balconies) with what looks like commercial on the ground floor. This looks like the kind of thing I'd expect on Harbour Road, but the fact that it's a street corner doesn't make sense with that. Possibly somewhere on Esquimalt Road west of Bayview?
Is this the new warehouse proposed for 235 Russell Street in Vic West? https://tender.victo...Number=DPV00163

No, but that’s very interesting!
Plans are up for the Russell Street warehouse now- it's also 3 storeys (4 storeys if you include mechanical)- if approved it would be the first net-new warehouse built in the city in some time, unless I'm forgetting something?

The Aryze townhouse development proposed for Kipling/Fairfield road is going to CotW on Thursday Feb 11. City staff are recommending against sending this to a public hearing. Staff report: https://pub-victoria...ocumentId=63995

- provide a more sensitive transition with adjacent properties
- ensure the form and character of the development is compatible with the predominant neighbourhood character, consistent with the Design Guidelines for Development Permit Area 15F: Intensive Residential – Attached Dwellings.
Aryze would never say this in public but after a few gin and tonics I'm pretty sure they would say that the reason their design isn't sensitive to the existing neighbourhood is because the existing neighbourhood sucks.

As kind of a resident of that neighbourhood, I whole heartly disagree that the neighbourhood sucks.
Doesn't mean that I think the proposal should go forward. Not fond of most of Aryze designs.
But I don't understand how you can say a neighbourhood of mostly pleasant well kept up homes, a block or several from the waterfront, sucks.

It's a lovely neighbourhood. But that has little to do with the old undistinguished houses that surround the proposed development. It's fair to criticize the size and setbacks but I don't see the importance of having the proposal's design and character be more subservient to its neighbours.

Sorry, it's a project by Bart Johnson of Breia Holdings Ltd., not Aryze.
Still, I'd like to get Aryze drunk and listen to what they really think about certain things.
