The bridge was an exotic vacation...

The new bridge is infrastructure - high end infrastructure to be sure - but necessary just the same, especially once the previous bridge was allowed to fall into disrepair. I am pretty sure the city could have survived without musical handrails and concrete mattresses.

The bridge was an exotic vacation. Public art is a chocolate bar by the check-out on your weekly grocery bill.

but the cost of all those chocolate bars add up.. especially when your wildly over budget on the exotic vacation(bridge) already

I've started noticing how 99% of yellow lines in the city are almost faded to the extent you can't see them. I guess that's something else that's gone by the wayside.

How much did it cost to get rid of JAM?

How much did it cost to get rid of JAM?

In actual dollars or in the collective belief of responsible civic government?

Forgive me, but what’s JAM?

Know it all.

I went for a bike ride around Rock Bay to check out all the new murals. For the most part, I'm pretty happy with them and I think they've livened up an area much in need. It's possible one or two of these were already here and I just never noticed them before.

This last one was actually in Vic West, the one at the corner of Catherine and Esquimalt. I actually like it but I'm very puzzled as to why they chose that portion of the wall to paint the mural, while the rest of it is completely blank. Perhaps there is more to come? Either way, most of it got a paint job at least!

Just realized the second picture is a mural that was already there. I'm sure I missed several more though as I heard over a dozen were painted.

I like the shark mural.  This city needs more sharks.

I think they are all pretty bad. Government sponsored murals just aren't cool. It has to be organic

Fantastic stuff, Brantastic! Thank you.

Question though is whether it was worth the $150K.

If asked by the CoV how to spend budget dollars next year, I now know from where $50,000 can be re-allocated.
