It was very confusing. It was hard to tell exactly what was going on. National Cannabis didn't actually sell pot, I think, it was some sort of consulting practice. The head shop next store didn't last long, it appeared to be part of the same operation. Then National removed its signage and changed its name, then after extensive renovations the head shop seemed to change name and closed about five minutes later. Then the other shop closed. Then Pizza Place opened briefly in the head shop space, now it's leased again. It's like the owners were sampling too much of the product. [edited for legal reasons]

I live near the Quadra/Kings intersection. A bakery/pizza place would be awesome there. The cannabis place right on the corner has been gone for some time; Pizza Zone was surprisingly short-lived in the smaller space next door, the space was empty for a while but has apparently been leased up again for some time.

California-based vegan cinnamon bun chain Cinnaholic is coming to lower Yates street next to Saint Cecilia's Coffee and Commercial Alley. This fills one of the four vacant units on this block, and the other three have "leased" signs on the windows, though I can't find info as to what will be in these units.

That's the second pizza joint in that spot. Ten years ago it was a Pizza Zone outlet. Before that it apparently was the Alzheimer Resource Centre but I don't remember that at all for some reason.

far be it for me to be suspicious.
but short of an interview with the previous ownership and/or the landlord i'm somewhat skeptical of a "new ownership" regime here.
it's a large part of my daily duties to look at every single business listing in victoria every day and this has never been listed for sale on the MLS system. that's not to say a private sale has not happened - they take place all the time.
but the single post on instagram does not begin to explain what has happened here. we will see.

Closed years ago. It’s now Xin Korean. Likely the right location though.
