Are we talking national brewer, or a local brewer with an established south Island presence?

Victoria is small fry for a national, just look at the new gargantuan Molson brewery out in Chilliwack. My bet is one of the downtown brewers is struggling with capacity.

When I see the surprising prominence of Phillips beers in Vancouver it makes me think it would be wise for them to have a plant on the lower mainland, rather than Sidney.

Driftwood will be launching the fruit of their new distillery later this year. I have no idea what they're making, but this early in the game I would imagine vodka or gin. The craft spirits market is sure chugging along!

I’d put money on them making canned cocktails, similar to what Victoria Spirits has done with their Strait and Narrow products, to get in on the same market as Nude and other hard soda beverages.

The market for these is super hot. We’ve recently taken over a store with a retail license attached and I cannot believe how crazy these products sell. It’s insane.

I think Philips trades on their local, small town image. I have heard a few times that their output puts them in the top 10 nationally. Big volume.

Omg I say that every single day, and three times a day this summer, lol.

I overheard someone say that “omggggg strait and narrows are life”, whatever that means, when I was unpacking the order this week. They bought three four packs and left.

Didn't see any new construction, no signage or anything, guess we'll have to wait and see.
