That was New Brunswick - CFB Petawawa specifically;
I'm pretty sure Petawawa is in Ontario.

Negative review of a kayaking tour:
CAUTION: a 3 hour drive from Vancouver
I was very excited to do this trip- and it might’ve been great. I found trip on tours in Vancouver- I should have understood that it is nowhere near Vancouver. Unfortunately I only got this when I tried to arrange transportation. I cancelled at 6 am - not 24 hours - so asked for some sort of credit or partial refund. The tour company said speak to Viator / TripAdvisor -there was nothing they could do. Viator said speak to the tour company. Full charge, no credit or even partial refund. I understand policies, but this trip shouldn’t pop up when you search near Vancouver.

How about everyone list five things that Tourists should do in Victoria but that maybe they don't or may not even know about.
For me:
1. Go for a coffee and a stroll through Cook Street Village.
2. Walk the length of Westsong Way.
3. Go to the Art Gallery.
4. Go for a hike through Mt Doug Park
5. Spend an afternoon perusing the design district.
Problem is these items are too spread out, and not always suitable for visitors on short visits. Tourists usually like to spend more time in the core area.

We really need to get those tourists into rental cars to really see the area.

Know it all.
Citified.ca is Victoria's most comprehensive research resource for new-build homes and commercial spaces.

On a map it looks counterintuitive to take BCF. But we all do it all the time going south. We need to teach the less frequent travellers coming north.

Westsong Way = the waterfront path that connects the Songhees district in Vic West to the West Bay Marina in Esquimalt.
It's a rather pleasant walk to make when the weather is good.
The "design district" is a relatively new contrivance used to denote maybe a handful of businesses that are/were more or less in the area around and between the 600 block of Pembroke and the 600 block of Herald Street. I can't imagine many tourists would make the effort to visit here. No one is ever going to mistake it for SoHo.

Some people may very well design things in this area, but I am still not sure it is of sufficient interest for those with a relatively short time in Victoria to go out of their way to visit.

Ahh. I've walked that a bunch of times, never knew what it was called. I think I always just thought of it as the Songhees walkway.

I imagine most people do.

To be fair to myself, I am not sure I would in present day refer to the Design District. 17 years ago it actually was a designated area with a ton of shops focused on home decor. Most of those have now left. Good thing is that this area will likely be part of the new Innovation District.
It would be cool if we had a neighbourhood with a ton of libraries and coffee shops, maybe the odd quiet whiskey bar and we called it the Contemplation District.
