From that angle it would reach the top of North Park Manor by about the 18th or 19th floor maybe? So when finished the top of the crest would be about the same height as the top of the crane?
(building render flipped to jibe with the angle in Gary's pic)

Still not sure how I feel about that crest on the top.
It's certainly no worse than the top of most new buildings in the CoV.

It's not a blank elevator box so I'm happy.
Low standards, I know, but look at where we're coming from.

The staff break room at VV headquarters? Standards don't get any lower. A light bulb would be nice.

If it's not the Manhattan or View Towers we're making progress.
This will definitely be much nice than both of those, so we're making massive progress.

Speaking of blocked views, does Gary have a valid grievance now that his view of the Jubilee Hospital is partially blocked?

If it's not the Manhattan or View Towers we're making progress.
And it only took 25-50 years!

The noble city tore down the old bridge in order to open up the view, and now you skyscraper fanboys have ruined the view. Nice going.

Hudson Place One, a 25-storey condominium tower rising above the 700-block of Herald Street in downtown Victoria's Hudson District, is half-way up its 85-meter height. To commemorate the project's construction progress as it pushes higher on its way to becoming Vancouver Island's tallest building, the development team is holding an evening of celebration next week.
Evening of celebration will mark historic rise of Vancouver Island's tallest building

Units on the higher floors of HP1 are going to have a fantastic view of that Jack Davis roof.

Even the ones that face south?
