Only at a premium... the BC Housing premium... but then again it’s not in the CoV so maybe they will just pass...I'm sure BC Housing will be interested.

Share sale, eh? Hmm.
Matt.
can you expand on that matt? or marko?
i realize a share sale often gets around the transfer tax can it can be fraught with issues if an existing unknown liability exists like a human rights or employer issue comes up.
but is there an advantage for the seller to just sell the shares? tax advantage maybe?

Probably tax losses that can be recouped. May also be an offshore buyer that wants to obfuscate ownership positions.

Maybe the provincial government is going to buy it to house junkies!
has almost happened.

how come swimming pools always have a deep "end"? why not a deep side? the long side could be deep all along. there might be a lot less songs with good lyrics if they got rid of "the deep end".

I'm gonna kind of miss seeing that swimming pool. It's crazy that there was a big pool directly across the street from the Legislature. How many people would have known that? It was one of those old things that made Victoria quirky and interesting, like the lawn bowling green or the full-size basketball court in the St. Andrews church.

A child has suffered life-threatening injuries after an incident at a hotel swimming pool in Victoria.
Victoria police said they were called Wednesday evening to a Douglas Street hotel, identified by CHEK News as Hotel Zed.

another very strange commercial listing description.
$3,389,000
The subject property is located on the east side of Cherry Tree Bend near the intersection of Haliburton Road and Patricia Bay Highway. The subject property is in the Cordova Bay neighbourhood of the District of Saanich and is well-situated nearby Beaver Lake/Elk Lake, Royal Oak Shopping Centre, Broadmead Village, Commonwealth Recreational Centre and more. The general intent of the area is to ensure a vibrant mixed-use community as a place of activity and strong pedestrian orientation through the establishment of higher residential densities.

a lot of useless photos too.
i'll add one that's better than all the rest in that listing:

Since "the general intent of the area is to ensure a vibrant mixed-use community" I wonder if BC Housing will pick up this property for $10 million or so? Of course it's outside of the CoV and no other municipality in the CRD has affordable housing issues, so probably not.

some of the rooms look quite nice. some a bit odd. in any event it's quite unique. $500k per room though. that's got to be a pretty long-term horizon for payback.

The price will probably keep dropping considering the state of things downtown.
