Today, they were pouring the concrete for the building's core (the formwork is visible above). Shouldn't be long before it's at ground level and then things will go quick.

There are quite a few tall cement pillars now. It won't be long before the 2nd floor plate supports are put in.

Visit my blog at: https://www.sidewalkingvictoria.com

It has a whole new look!

Several Juliet suites were released for sale this week on the MLS, including 2 br/ 2 bath suites, a sub-penthouse, and a penthouse.

The first floor concrete is all done so you can actually see the curved section on the corner. It's starting to actually look like something now.

Most of the supports for the 4th floor floor plate are now in I am sure they will be pouring by mid week. Walking down Blanshard you can tell this is going to be one nice looking building already. It is so nice to see street wall where before was surface parking and an ugly building.

I have to say that I am more excited about this project right now then any other one in the core.

We are all happy to see any nice "tall" building go up - - - lets get something tall and beautiful where the big empty hole in the ground is in the 700 block of Yates and see how happy we get!

The completed third floor is now visible above the advertising hoarding so you can really get a feel for the shape of the tower and the setback of the curved corner portion.

What would you guess? One floor every two weeks?

They're working on the final forms of the third floor now, I believe. In fact the big pour for the third floor ceiling may be today.

^Nope! they are now putting in the supports for the fifth floor floor plate (or ceiling of the fourth floor) depending on how you look at it.

They did the big pour for the fourth floor plate last weekend.

I walked past the Juliet again today. It appears the 4th floor pour is complete and the 5th is shaping up nicely (rebar in place etc.). I am not entirely sure why, but I am finding this one of the most interesting projects currently on the go in the city. Maybe because, other than being a few floors short (20 floors would have been ideal, I think), this project has done just about everything right in terms of urban in-file "high-rises". The scale, lack of setback, use of a podium and materials (ok the PROPOSED materials) all seem to be spot-on. I hope other developers are watching this, and learn what can and should be done to enhance the urban landscape.

hey this is my first post although I've been watching the boards for a while as I share the same interest in downtown development. Anyone else going to live in this place? I think it will be a great location to call home

Great to see you participating and good call on the purchase.

I pretty sure that there's another member here who also purchased a unit but I can't recall his name.
