...the fashion empire...has gone from being the coolest company on the block when it arrived in Britain in 2004 to the brink of bankruptcy because its auditor, Deloitte & Touche, resigned last month after discovering "material weaknesses" in the financial controls of the clothing company dating back to last year."

Material weaknesses in a clothing company? No wonder they fell apart.

Canada Goose is very popular in Eastern Canada, in China and even Russia.

I don't know about the west coast though.  They use lots of fur in their products and lots of people I know would never buy from a company that uses fur.

The impression I got from the merchandise itself in American Apparel was like the 80s on repeat and like most fads, would fade. Ugly stuff, glad to see it fade into closure - wonder what'll be there next?

They are popular and sold in many northern stores by people who live in truly cold climates. the jackets retail for around $900 for a decent one

NT and YT they are as common as a fox

In urban areas the are bought as a status piece and many asian purchase them while here.

There are also many knockoffs out there..you think you are on a legit Canadagoose down website but you are not.

Teh knock offs have serious issues with mould and disease

In the north people don't care about weather hey are wearing fur or other pieces of an animal such as a hide because outside of urban centres most of teh people in this country and especially north of 60 hunt and use animals as they were meant to be used by them.

There we so many of these coats when we were in Paris last February that we started a game, sort of a Canada goose down punch buggy sort of thing. There were hundreds.

So the folks responsible for leasing the strip mall that the trampoline park said they were moving in to have definitively stated that there is "zero chance" of Get Air Victoria moving into their premises.

How odd, that Get Air Victoria cites them as their future location, and even as early as the 13th of this month(!) stated:

"Hi Clay, we don't have an official opening date, but once we do, we'll make sure to update our Facebook page! It takes quite a while to build a trampoline park, so thanks for being patient with us! -MD"

...when asked about their opening date. So bizarre.

Weird, because someone on their Facebook page claims to have visited and loved the Victoria location back in January.

If it does go in there, it could be that the building owner wants to break the news and be the hero and control any press releases about it.

How dare someone else announce what is going into their building

Yeah, it could be, but the agent insisted they were not locating there, and as per SD's question, did not say who was.

the facebook page has listed that address for months, the page itself has been around since April 2016, and i have been following it since probably November and it had the address listed then, if it was this big secret why list the address on the page and not just list "coming soon to Victoria" like the other location did until it was well underway and ready to reveal the address

Proposed trampoline park gets bounced from Blanshard Street retail space

http://victoria.citi...t-retail-space/

The peculiar case of a planned trampoline park north of Victoria’s downtown core has left locals full of questions and a landlord puzzled.

Utah-based Get Air Sports announced last spring via Facebook that the indoor recreation company would be opening a Victoria location at 2608 Blanshard Street adjacent to a Tim Hortons restaurant.

Since then Get Air Victoria’s Facebook page has blossomed to over 5,000 fans and questions posed to the company by the public have been met with cordial responses indicating the operation would open soon, despite little activity at the park’s purported future home. [Full article]

Blanshard Square is owned by the Groupe Denux.  The website still lists the space as available.

Maybe the park is playing the landlord in order to convince the bank Air Play have a confirmed venue in the bag while playing the bank in order to make the landlord think they have solid financing.

Someone on VV's Facebook page said Get Air had approached Denfor/Group Denux quite some time ago but nothing came of the discussions.

The weirdest thing is the March 10th Facebook reply to someone's question. It's like everything's tip top. So strange.

There sure seems to be a lot of controversy over a decision that's likely to affect 10's of people - or have I missed the clamouring from locals for a trampoline facility in the heart of Victoria?

People love trampoline parks, I guess. The thought of one opening just outside of downtown Victoria right next to a coffee shop had many parents excited.
