Looks like Fig deli, according to my source. Maybe another $50k for inventory?

"**Reduced to $99,000 in order to facilitate a sale before the end of the year.**
The owner earns well in excess of a $100,000 per year and the business requires limited staff!

This Fine Foods and Deli has been a proud community member for nearly a decade."

I hope not, wouldn't be the same unless they find the right owner.

That picture seems to be from somewhere other than Fig.

a public hearing is now set where people can have their opinions if capitol 6 should be replaced with an office building...kind of sad to see yet another movie theatre go down. i've always liked that one better than odeon and they certainly have better variety of drinks there.

A 15-year-old Reynolds Secondary student recently launched an auto cleaning business to help people conveniently spruce up their vehicles.

Owen Klassen began his business in Saanich in late January and has worked every day since. With knowledge of cars and an entrepreneurial spirit, he has already earned upwards of $800 in the short time he has been detailing.

I took a personality test and I am 85 per cent entrepreneur,” he said, adding he is also an aspiring photographer.

Klassen wanted to make the process of getting one’s car cleaned more convenient and enjoyable, and as such, he also goes to his clients.

“I always remember people saying that taking your car to the detail shop or getting it cleaned is a chore,” he said. “When you’re sitting in your house or working from home I can go to people while their car is just sitting in the driveway and they don’t really have to think about it.”

Good for him! Who knows where this could lead, and who he’ll meet along the way as he builds his client base. The first step for an entrepreneur is never like the last, but the ones in between couldn’t have come without the ones prior.

He's staying until the end of his lease. He's been clear about his closing to regulars for the last year.

Victoria has just gotten its first blow dry bar.

Blo Blow Dry Bar, located in the Bay Centre in downtown Victoria, is a salon that offers no cuts, no colour — just blowouts.

Wash, blow, and go. That’s how it works, all in 45 minutes.

New cookie company seem suspiciously like the old cookie company without the milk.

Hillside will be adding a 15,000-square-foot Dollarama store in the spring.

Anyone know where that will be, exactly?

In the "wing" east of the mall entrance to Walmart.

Long & McQuade building new music store in Langford

National music retailer has a store on Hillside Avenue in Victoria; it's opening a second store on Jacklin Road in Langford

The company, which has about 90 locations across the country, is owned by the Pickering, Ont.-based Long family and still led by Jack Long, 92, who founded the company in 1956. Jack McQuade left the business in 1965.

It appears that the Logan's liquor store on Cook St is expanding into the former Logan's Pub space...

I'm not sure where to put this, but a floating sauna is proposed to be docked in the 700 block of Government Street near the Empress Hotel:

Who not just heat the entire harbour?

EDIT:  oh that would be a hot tub.

This document is a riot.   One of the best parts is "important city planning milestones", which consists of talking about stuff in 2001 and then more talk up until now, with nothing actually done.  Until Havn, of course.

I swear, Aryze must be involved with this.

Doesn't really say how it makes money.  The hot tubs will be filtered harbour water.  It says.  Although not sure if the health authorities would agree.

Here are the prices at Bota Bota in Montreal:
