Longtime Victoria bookseller hands business to staff

 

 

Jim Munro of Munro's Books in Victoria decided, at 85, that it was time for him to go. So he gave the business to four staff members.

What do you do when you’re 84 and own Canada’s most beautiful bookstore? And one that is thriving — no mean feat these days.

There is no 'e' in Munro. For neither the author, nor the bookseller.

Victoria is conspicuously absent from the list of Canadian cities that do have Apple stores.

Victoria is the largest metropolitan area in Canada without an Apple store.

No kidding, 29 stores in Canada, including 6 in Metro Vancouver.  Halifax has one.

I think the best reason for consumers is for quicker repairs. For Apple, shrug. I doubt their sales go up much if a store were to open in Uptown for example.
