I'd prefer to see a distinct building with an altogether different design.

Is the helijet lot part of the deal? It's owned (or was, in any case) by the folks behind the Sticky Wicket.

Know it all.

I really don't think we are going to see a change here. You may see another building but it will not be includuded in this one.

Not included from the rumour I heard. Yes, the Olson's own it.

I too would like to see a completely different building on all three lots. You could easily fit a building like astoria on those three lots no problem.

I think a parking lot would be nice, Victoria is losing its surface parking tradition. Surface parking is human scale, it's just natural land you park on and harkens back to a simpler time. We don't need these huge multi-level parkades, we're not Vancouver! Do you remember when that cougar got into the empress parking lot?? All these new underground parkades are just going to attract more cougars, who will then live off The Falls raccoons.

Never forget the unicorns. Hold on, Cougars can't survive in the kind of wind about to be generated around there.

Victoria cougars prefer bars for their prowling.

Three bedrooms/three bathrooms is a gigantic unit.

I'm surprised that the MLS lists a completion date of 2009... is it really going to take that long to build the Falls?

Yup, that is the plan. They may finish late 2008 but then deficiencies and everything...

My place is almost exactly half the size and worth 1/9 the cost of that unit.

Yikes, thats a hefty pricetage there .

I'm sure the view from some of those condos will ALMOST be worth it...but not quite.

The cost will increase because the developers read Vic's post and are cancelling the fake waterfall
and will be bringing in a natural one instead once they sign the permits with the Parks Department.
