There are differences between Save-On and Thriftys in their pricing. Save-On almost always has cheaper chicken (and sales on Hagen-Dasz!) while Thrifty's almost always has ground beef that is cheaper.

 

it's a strategy they all must employ.  one place can't have the cheapest everything they will not make enough profit.

Gotta be like Victoria's seniors who comb through the flyers and gas up the La Sabre so they can drive across town and get those 99 cent a pound turkey giblets.

Just an FYI that Save On has it's own independent meat processing for ground beef. It's why it hasn't been affected by nationwide recalls in the past.
