Less than 60% of the inventory and more than twice the number of sales as we had at this time last year. I don't see prices coming down anytime soon.

Yea and it won't get better. I am predicitng sales will drop off as will new listings as well.

Talking to a few acquaintances who had plans to sell primary or investment residences, they’re holding off due to the low inventory environment. You can sell in a day but what are you going to buy? Mom’s neighbours are in that predicament now. Their home has sold and they haven’t figured out a game plan for their own purchase.

That's exactly my predicament.  This time last year there was a small handful of suitable condos on the market just within my budget but strata BS made my place an impossible sell despite it being a nicely updated solid floorplan.  I was contemplating ringing up Marko and flipping his lockbox around to the outside of my door this year but selling for what I was asking for last year puts pretty much any suitable replacement far out of reach with the prices this year.

From the article: "...not be required to conduct public hearings and render yay or nay decisions for projects seeking to conform to the OCP".

Umm...this is already the case. If the use and density conforms with the OCP Council can waive a public hearing.
