It’s weed. Just ask around. The black market is alive and well because government weed sucks… it’s not like it was hard to find when it was illegal.

Same with fentanyl overdoses. The ones left selling on the black market..

Just go to the reserves or order online. This cooperative has good product. https://igcollective.net/

They have no effect on us. Only the government monopoly. I welcome a long prolonged strike.

They are sovereign. They can and are. In fact most are now.

Fine by me if they got the pot and booze.

“..The province was preparing to allow cannabis stores to accept direct deliveries of product from licensed producers long before the strike began, but until those deliveries start, stores have no choice but to get their products from the BCLD…”

Except for the reserves. They are not under the jurisdiction of the province. If they are growing and selling there is nothing the province can do.

I should reframe that. They probably won’t do anything because they don’t want any more attention brought to this issue. Especially if it motivates them to make their own laws surrounding licensing etc. They are one a “Nation to Nation” standing with the federal government and this is being figured out in other economic areas.

“..Vikram Sachdeva estimates his B.C. chain of Seed and Stone stores has a good supply of products right now but agreed that could quickly change if the strike drags on.

"I'm hoping that we can survive for a week or a little bit longer, but beyond that point, it's going to be very difficult,'' he said...“: https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6553962

Seed and Stone has a partnership with Songhees. Songhees website looks like all government product: https://www.songheescannabis.com/

You’re saying they can buy direct?

I’m saying they could grow and sell direct. If they are buying government weed they are in the same boat since that goes through the path you outlined above.

I’m sure the public is being billed somewhere along the line, for it being held in an unnecessary warehouse.

Legalize it.

You mean instead of monopolize it?

CBC could’ve done a better job on that reporting

”Direct delivery will launch on Monday, August 15, 2022”: https://www.bcldbcan...ers_July 20.pdf

has the strike stopped this?

“...director of the Retail Cannabis Council of B.C., said there was a provincial initiative to allow retail outlets to buy directly from B.C. producers that was supposed to start early last week just as the strike was put in place. That program now has ground to a halt, she said..”: https://vancouversun...es-union-strike
