The Mckenzie side building is nearly complete. The Shelbourne side building recently topped out, but I don't have a photo.

These two buildings should have been a lot taller.

Here are some of the businesses that will be coming, and the few remaining spaces are still available/under negotiation:
Save On Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart, CEFA Early Learning, Chipotle, Scotiabank, 123 Dentist, Kinton Ramen, Dave's Hot Chicken, Tom Harris (moving from Tuscany Village I'm assuming), Westland Insurance, Firehouse Subs, Artigiano (coffee shop), Flight (cannabis), Amano Nails, Ono Poke, Supplement King, and Opa!

@Mike - is this the first building/project that Kerkhoff has done here in greater Victoria? I grew up on the mainland and in a past life know some of the family; they've got lots of stuff there, but I don't recall seeing them here until this one.

Skimming through their projects list (impressive!), I found two old ones:

This project was by Graystar, I thought? The names keep changing.

That's the company behind Rentuh, the rental management (and maybe owner?) piece. Kerkhoff is doing the actual design/build. Given how quickly they put this up, they should be tapped for more stuff here, it's a pleasure to see how fast this project has proceeded once green lit.

Most VV forumers would be either way too young or way too old or way too oblivious to understand that reference.

Johnny Zee's wasn't a bad place. Staff was generally not too friendly but they kept most of the games running and in good shape.

Scaffolding is coming down from the Shelbourne facing building, and final touches are being made to the McKenzie facing building. I can already see trees being planted on the podium roof.
Did not get photos for this part yet, but scaffolding is up for the center building, construction of the wood structure is ongoing for the Cedar Hill side, and foundation work is ongoing for the Home Depot-adjacent building.

I drove by yesterday and somehow the scale/impact of this project is smaller than I expected. In my mind it was going to be a much bigger thing.

Or maybe not. But what Saanich has coming across the street, despite everyone else permitted to build lowrises, is going to change that area significantly. 18 floors may be just the beginning. Meanwhile, you have additional proposals coming easy of Shelbourne and now UVic wants in on the real-estate market.
Know it all.
