The automaker's electric lineup is also growing slowly but surely. It currently offers the Hummer EV pickup, Cadillac Lyriq, two versions of the Chevy Bolt, and delivery vehicles through BrightDrop. It will soon offer several more EVs including the Blazer EV, Equinox EV, Silverado EV, and more. The company also has more vehicles in the pipeline that are yet to be announced. A mid-sized Hummer might be on the way and more EVs under the Cadillac brand are likely to join the Lyriq and recently announced Celestiq. Buick will be a fully electric automaker as well.

Do any of those models excite you? Maybe the Blazer if they produce a great design.

Ford Celebrates Production Of 150,000th Mustang Mach-E

The company intends to increase the production rate to 270,000 annually.

The jubilee vehicle was produced at the Cuautitlán Stamping and Assembly Plant in Mexico (the Mach-E is produced also in China, but on a much smaller scale).

As part of its electrification efforts, Ford intends to increase the Mach-E global production rate to 270,000 units annually (about 4 times higher than its 2022 level).

The global all-electric Ford production is expected to reach a rate of 600,000 units annually by the end of 2023 and 2 million units annually by 2026.

Tesla's delivery of the Semi trucks came after several years of delay. They were first unveiled in 2017 and initially slated for delivery in 2019 — but the plan delayed in part due to a shortage of parts and supply chain challenges.

Musk said at Tesla's third-quarter earnings call in October that the electric vehicle maker is aiming to produce 50,000 Semis in North America in 2024, according to a transcript of the call. He declined to reveal the exact prices but said they would cost "much more than a passenger vehicle."

In August 2022, Musk tweeted that Tesla would begin shipping the 500-mile Semi, and the Cyber Truck — its futuristic-looking electric pickup — by 2023.

Finnish start-up is turning Tesla EV batteries into storage systems

“Our first year of operation is coming to a close,” said Oskari Jaakkola, CEO and founder of Cactos.

“In the first semester, we brought to the market one of the world’s most advanced energy storage systems. Following the roll-out, market demand for our product has been exceptionally strong, and the funding we raised will help us to fully respond to this demand.

Cactos operates a fleet of distributed energy storage systems made from re-used Tesla EV batteries and its own proprietary cloud-based control software.

Each Tesla EV battery is disassembled, inspected, and tested at Cactos’ factory in Muhos, Finland, before being converted into 100kWh energy storage units.

Meanwhile, Cactos Spine, the company’s algorithmic-based cloud computing service, controls and optimises the energy storage units, enabling consistent energy supply through usage peaks or blackouts, as well as optimisation that maximises the benefit of lower electricity prices.

“On the ground, companies are concerned about electricity supply and market volatility,” said Jaakkola.

“The coming winter will clearly be a very difficult one, but the longer-term outlook with energy transition and temporal imbalance in supply and demand means there is a huge need for demand response and different ways to store energy.

Elon Musk's Tesla SEMI Event: Everything Revealed in 9 Minutes

Video:  https://youtu.be/HrhSIDu4_Zw

So in highway cruise mode, only one of the three motors is working, and it's the size of a football.

When you need torque or power, the other two motors kick in seamlessly with no operator intervention required.

Regenerative braking is safer than ICE trucks that have to use precise gearing and engine brakes on downward grades.

You can stand up in the cab, change into overalls etc.

Elon says it's just like driving a car, no special skills required.  Except you have to be aware of your size and the fact you are 82,000 pounds.

Musk said 1MW chargers are required for the trucks, and they’ve figured out a way to make them small enough and practical for any of their supercharger stations.

Musk said the Cyberfreaktruck will be able to utilize those chargers, too.

That’s quite something. “Showroom”, not dealership though. Just to be picky.

A dealership would suggest an independent business in the business of “dealing” a particular brand or brands.

Tesla showrooms are company-owned.

Tesla works differently from traditional automakers. With direct sales, they skip franchises altogether. This allows for better control over the customer's buying experience. And, with no middleman, it reduces the price for the end-customer too.

Tesla's staff is paid on salary — making the commission "grind" a thing of the past. Rather than pressuring for a quick sale, knowledgeable specialists are there to educate you about the product and its many benefits. Everything else is done over the web reducing your time at a Tesla dealership to a minimum.

See, legacy automakers don’t sell cars to consumers. Instead, they sell their vehicles in bulk to privately owned franchise dealers. These dealerships will then add some "padding" on top of the advertised price to make their margin.

This outdated practice isn't preferred by car buyers, but it’s required. Tesla’s direct sales method is actually restricted, limited, or banned in certain states. You get a clear view of that in Texas (see below).

I went into the showroom in Vancouver a few years ago and asked about kWh/km and the guy had no idea what I was asking. He told me he wasn't a technical guy. I said "oh it's similar to L/100km" and he was like "yeah these cars don't burn gas".

That is a sexy rig without question.

Will our masters be able to just disable them with a twitter post when the Freedom Convoy 2030 happens?
