Is anyone even reviewing the actual production vehicles or just the pre production ones?

They’re releasing videos now that they made a long time ago, but none of them have the actual production vehicles in their hands, right?

What exactly did Tesla even “launch” on the 30th?

Know it all.

They were given production vehicles 10 to 14 days before the launch.

Vehicles produced after are probably better.

NOBODY has a bad review.

They gave 10 vehicles to reservation holders.

Word is they are producing 50 to 100 a week now.

Lots will have them soon.

Can’t fight fate!

That image of the thing rolling off the assembly line reminds me of a Cylon invasion.

Yeah, made in the summer, it looks like.

Nobody will dare review it negatively among those who got access to vehicles. Although Haherty did say it’s just a garage queen.

But the independents are unimpressed. Prices way, way too high, and worse specs than promised. Maybe by 2030 prices will make sense and the specs will improve, like with the 3 after some years.

It was not made in the summer. Nobody reviewing them got the cars until 10 days before the event.

Find me one person who has been in the car, moving, that doesn’t like it.

The price for the first 100,000 isn’t really relevant. They would be bought at nearly any price.

Regardless, those are not the reviews that count. We need to see them in the hands of regular people, not auto review corporations dependant on good relations with manufacturers.

All reviews count to some degree.

Auto reviews no matter how biased one thinks that they may be they are part of the influencers that affect the decisions of

of Jane public.

The days of biased car reviews from Car and Driver are long gone. It’s all YouTube now.

It’s a luxury item purchased purely on desire. It would have to explode on entry for it to fail at this point.

In all fairness a lot of the YouTubers with positive Cybertruck reviews have been unbias and critical of previous Tesla products. Also, I had two friends go check it out in person in Langley and they echoed what everyone is saying online....even more impressive in person.

But who knows, when they released the Model Y everyone was disappointed and the stock dropped 5% on release and the Model Y is now on track to become the world's best selling vehicle.

Everyone is raving and excited about the Cybertruck.....might not sell that well? Who knows.

If I was buying an EV truck I would definitvely go Cybertruck just on the basis of there is a small chance Rivian goes under. With Tesla you know what you are buying and I already have experience with a Tesla product being essentially bulletproof over 8 years. I just wish it was smaller....EV the size of a Ridgeline would be up my alley.

It will be a collectors item because not that many will be made. But the technology will be deployed in cheaper cars that will take its place.

I predict more than 2 million will be made.

Florida man is behind bars after police said he traveled to Austin to kill people. He’s accused of targeting Thursday’s Cybertruck release event at Tesla headquarters.

While Elon Musk was planning the unveiling of the Cybertruck at the Tesla Gigafactory Thursday, law enforcement was investigating a man who threatened to kill people at the event.

The House is expected to hold a floor vote this week on legislation that would strike down pending federal regulations targeting gas-powered vehicles and prohibit any future electric vehicle (EV) mandate.

The Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act – introduced over the summer by Reps. Tim Walberg, R-Mich., and Andrew Clyde, R-Ga. – will be considered by the House Rules Committee on Monday before officially receiving a floor vote as soon as Tuesday. If the bill is passed, it would then be voted on by the Senate, where Republicans and Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin recently introduced companion legislation.

"The House must pass the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales Act to block a radical and unattainable federal EV mandate that will cripple our auto industry and forever make our supply chain reliant on China," Walberg told Fox News Digital on Monday. "The American auto industry is at its best when they are free to innovate and listen to the will of consumers, and not constrained by bureaucracy."

_____________________________

Walberg and Clyde, along with more than a dozen other House Republicans, introduced the legislation months after the EPA proposed its most aggressive tailpipe emissions ever. If the rule is finalized, a staggering 67% of new sedan, crossover, SUV and light truck; up to 50% of bus and garbage truck; 35% of short-haul freight tractor; and 25% of long-haul freight tractor purchases could be electric by 2032, the White House projected.

_____________________________

According to Cox Automotive data, factoring in generous tax credits, the average transaction price for electric cars was $53,469 as of July 2023 while the average price of gas-powered vehicles was $48,334. And the Department of Energy reported that the average range of model year 2021 gasoline vehicles was 403 miles compared to the median 234-mile range of model year 2021 EVs.

Mike, if you configure an ICE F-150 with at least the CYbErTRuCk specifications for towing, payload and seating, what price would that brand new truck be?
