Ok, blogger.

It took me five years to shed that title.

I am learning to embrace it because people try so hard not to call it that.

Embrace the blog. You will recall this. It was like a remake of My Cousin Vinny when the judge said, "What's a yoot?"

Haha that is a funny trip back. In 2012 I called something with a 7" screen a tablet. That is now almost standard phone size.

I have a new post up. This time I look at why I think certain places downtown should have a new crosswalk added. Let me know what you think. There is also a video at the end to demonstrate it.

I 100% agree with everything in your Vancouver Street article G-Man! You're right, there is still room for improvement in the pedestrian realm and it could be a great mid-downtown oasis with restaurant patios and more micro bars spilling out onto the sidewalk. Challenge is the how close portions of it are to the 900 block of Pandora, and the existing buildings - CRA, Moxie's parking lot, the Forge gym moving into what was designed as a restaurant space, Regent Towers, etc, etc. Over time though and with redevelopment I hope this happens. Cook Street will also likely become a popular and more complete pedestrian shopping and dining stretch going for several blocks.

Thanks zoomer! Yes the Pandora stretch is a problem for sure but if McDonald's ever left and you had some good ground floor commercial I think that the dynamic would change.

Cook will likely get better as well but I think Vancouver could be better due to the quieter atmosphere.

For Mr. Sidewalking Victoria, you sure do a lot of sidewalking in places with no sidewalks, and not in Victoria :)

I've sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and, by gum, it put them on the map! Well, sir, there's nothin' on Earth like a genuine bona-fide electrified six-car monorail!

Oh yeah that’s a great recap!

But it just goes to show how a community of so few people can’t sustain anything beyond rubber tires, especially if the community is so against suburban development where the ridership comes from.
