Easy. Like 70% of Saanich has no sidewalks.c
Slowly improving. Beats probably every other muni excepting Victoria and Oak Bay I'd guess though. Maybe Langford and Colwood are better.

What’s the percentage in Sooke or Metchosin?

Sooke has at least 45% less sidewalks than Oak Bay. Oak Bay residents represent only 2% of Sooke's sidewalk users.
Could it be an IKEA?

Boondock Sidewalks has cancelled their much anticipated appearance at the Tinto Rocks festival this year. Something to do with inadequate infrastructure.

They were going to play half-time at the soccer game yesterday too.

A good sidewalk is actually pretty rare in most of the city. I expect that they are looking for a discussion of non-existent or poorly maintained sidewalks but they should also add narrow sidewalks to the list in which case you could include most of Victoria as well.

I am not sure if any repairs have been made recently, but there is a section of sidewalk along Fernwood, near Vic High, where what is left of the cement is not much more than rubble, and it's now at exactly the same grade as the road. The sidewalk has sunk so much there is literally no curb remaining.

How about a new ferry terminal in Oak Bay? That is what my latest blog post proposes. Have a read and let me know what you think.

We've talked about ferries from Oak Bay before. I suggested there was an option Victorians have never tried that could work well for commuting/day-tripping...
Just a reminder, officialdom in Oak Bay was cool on the idea of hovercraft service. But small boats and a handful of passengers like I'm talking about would obviously be a much more natural fit for the marina environment.

Cordova Bay Site Revived as Hovercraft Possibility
Still smarting from Oak Bay's rejection, commercial hovercraft official B.W. Heeney declared Wednesday night: "We'll get into the Victoria area yet, even if I have to carry the hovercraft over from Vancouver on my back."
The Colonist reported during the summer that Cordova Bay was presumably being studied as a possible landing site for the hovercraft.
Plans to establish a landing site at Oak Bay Marina was scuttled by the municipal council Monday night when it decided not to allow even trial period for the hovercraft.

You could probably do another piece on the air travel alone.
My first thought about not having any Cuban Pesos when you arrived seemed a little short sighted until you explained about the official verses the unofficial currency exchange rate.
Keep up the good work. This one was especially delightful.
