Right on the money G-Man. It's the village within the city that gives it life. It's been the stated goal of Council to encourage the urban hubs, but they do nothing to help realize that. I remember a few years ago, there was a pretty grotty duplex for sale in VicWest, right next door to the tiny little shopping village they have on Craigflower, where the Spiral Cafe is. The City should have bought it and allowed the retail section of the street to grow a bit bigger. James Bay is in need of a rethink. The only serious village would be Cook Street.

Thanks! It is not hard to take great photos on the Coho. Such a great boat, full of nostalgia and charm.

Grotty? It seemed fine. It has families living in it now.

Thanks to both of you I really appreciate that, especially when it isn't a piece focused on photography. I will put something up closer to the events but I do have a photography show coming up in January and I am actually teaching a photography workshop in March.
