Steve Raible has been doing Seahawks games on the radio for years. Much more palatable than the national broadcast teams.

XFL is back with eight teams and fewer pro-wrestling antics. Seattle, which was not part of the original XFL, will have a team: Seattle Dragons. They will play out of CenturyLink Field. The XFL season will take place during the NFL off-season. via https://www.cbssport...n-eight-cities/

I'm waiting for Trump to restart his USFL.
trump just owned one team (new jersey) and pushed to move the usfl to a competing fall season with the nfl in an attempt to force a merger that would be very beneficial to usfl owners. it did not work.

I couldn't remember how it ended. So you're telling me Trump was involved in the failure of a company? I don't believe it.

There's a great 30 for 30 called Small Potatoes: Who Killed The USFL? Fantastic doc on the rise and fall of the USFL. Give it a watch sometime. In the interim, here's a great article on the topic.

no word if they will cancel the "Washington" part of the name at the same time.
https://www.usatoday...day/5425894002/
Just less than two weeks after one of his most prominent corporate sponsors urged him to change the name of his football team, Washington owner Daniel Snyder plans to announce the retirement of the "Redskins" nickname and reveal a new team name Monday morning, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.

Edmonton Eskimos are next.
These names were made in good faith and no offense was meant at the time but they have not aged well.

The Washington Post ran a contest about renaming the Redskins, way back in 2003.
Here were the contest winners:
- Fifth Runner-Up: "The Washington Homicide Capitols," by Karin Schmerler, Washington.
- Fourth Runner-Up: "The Washington Embittered Food-Service Workers," by Bradley Fisher, Rockville.
- Third Runners-Up: "The Washington Senior Officials" and "The Washington Kickbacks," Dan Creel, Rockville.
- Second Runner-Up: "The Washington Unindicted Co-Conspirators," by Charles Dean Layman, Silver Spring.
- First Runner-Up: "The Washington Irvings," by E. Stanley Murphy, Charlottesville.
AND THE WINNER OF THE WATCH:
- "The Baltimore Redskins" (No, don't move the team, just change the name. Let Baltimore worry about it). Douglas R. Miller, Arlington.
