I think the initial completion estimate was late 2023 for Haven. Is that still a possibility? Perhaps winter of 2024 is more realistic at this point.

I apologize for not getting better photos here. The hoardings block most of the view.

In terms of when it will be ready to move-in, the completion date was estimated to be between March 01/2024 and May 31/2024 . I haven't received anything to indicate that those dates have changed

My mistake then, thank you for the clarification. I had been asked by a purchaser what I thought the completion would be, and they said they were under the impression it would be late 2023.

I talked with some of the sales reps in summer 2021 and they were marketing late 2023 but I remember being very skeptical of that date. I am still sketpical of March-may 2024, but I suppose it is possible to have the Haven meet that deadline as it is much smaller than the Nest.

Ah, ok. So there was talk of that date. Thank you.

At the end of the day, this will be a quality project from an A Class team. It’ll be worth the wait.

No loose bolts at Chard homes, though.

I think they just forgot to put the steering wheel bolt in. Steering wheel usually goes onto a spline. Quite tight. When you replace you usually need a specialised puller.

The problem on that front is that the mortgage rate holds offered by the project's partner bank would be relying on that initially advertised date of late 2023. I know those can extend, but probably not much past that May 2024 date - I think 6 months is the usual.

Chard has a good rep and is definitely a good developer, and I appreciate their commitment to Victoria's urban development, but to say no loose bolts with Chard buildings is not true.

Haven's locked mortgage rates for BMO and RBC were both for 36-months, so I would think they're good until early 2025.
