Starlight has more than 40 development projects comprising approximately 12 million square feet at various stages in the development process. These projects include residential, commercial, and mixed-use opportunities.
Our dedicated team has significant development and construction experience across all asset classes through experience working with Starlight as well as some of Canada’s leading development and asset management companies on some of Canada’s most notable projects.

Starlight Investments has scooped up another developer, leading to the cancellation of an IPO.
The Globe & Mail reports in this article (note: subscription required):
Toronto-based Continuum Residential Real Estate Investment Trust filed the paperwork for an IPO in early October, and the deal was set to price this week. However, the company quietly ran a dual-track process for a potential sale at the same time and ultimately decided to sell to Canada’s Starlight Investments.
Continuum hoped to raise around $300-million and price its shares between $15.60 and $16.50. After wrapping up its marketing roadshow, the company received orders for roughly $1-billion worth of shares.
While the demand gave Continuum the potential to price above its marketing range – the hallmark of a highly successful IPO – Starlight Investments offered a price too good to turn down: $20.10 per share, valuing the REIT at $1.7-billion, including debt.
Starlight “gave us an offer that was so superior that we had to say yes,” Continuum chief executive Dan Argiros said in an interview.

Wow.
The growth of Starlight and many properties (in this case firms) they pick up is startling.

This one is also near that earthquake fault.
You might even say it's the redevelopment's fault.
That's a lot of units. Maybe we can look forward to three blandrel™ versions of View Towers?

When the big earthquake strikes we'll all be thankful that most condo units are unoccupied.*
Seriously though, five Astoria towers would still come well short of 1,000 units.
