Yah, seems that The Capital published their own stories, and Capital Daily is an agglomeration of stories from various outlets

not sure if this thing is off to a very mediocre start on purpose. but that's what they've got to show for 2 weeks work.

Adrian Raeside in The Capital
A 36 year veteran with the Times Colonist, Raeside's editorial cartoons have been homeless since 2015
For 36 years, Adrian Raeside was the cartoonist-in-residence for the Times Colonist. He’s savaged 10 B.C. premiers, lambasted B.C. Ferries, poked relentless fun at Victoria's many petty squabbles and is known to take equal hits at polluters and environmentalists alike. His syndicated strip, The Other Coast, runs in more than 200 newspapers. And now, he'll occasionally be submitting cartoons to The Capital. Go to The Capital to officially break your Raeside fast.

We're Hiring - General Assignment Reporter Application deadline: December 10, 2019
The Capital is Western Canada's newest news organization. Based in Victoria, B.C., we are committed to data-driven analysis and investigative journalism in one of the most news-rich corners of the country.
This was the city that unleashed the Satanic Ritual Abuse panic on the world in the 1980s. This is where Tilikum the whale, the subject of the documentary Blackfish, began life in captivity. And this is where a small tech company named AggregateIQ played a major role in swaying British opinion towards Brexit in 2016.
Victoria has always punched well above its weight for crime, innovation and political dysfunction. We are Canada's only West Coast navy base, its busiest cruise ship port and the hometown for an impressive roster of powerful people trying not to be noticed.
The Capital is looking for a general assignment investigative reporter. Knowing how to write quick and well is a must, although your time will mainly be spent on longform, proprietary investigations. We need someone who knows how to curry sources, find hard-to-get data and take even-handed dives into some extraordinarily touchy subjects.
Your focus is Victoria, but you'll be breaking stories that will get national, if not international, attention. You won't win any awards (we don't apply for them), but this is a position where you can very quickly acquire a national-level reputation for good, old-fashioned journalism.
We are an extremely multimedia platform, so knowing how to make graphics, visualize data and edit audio and video is of particular value. Obviously, you'll also have to move to Victoria.

i like the idea that they do not apply for awards.

Welcome to the first-ever weekend edition of Capital Daily!
While we’ll continue to bring you Greater Victoria’s best breaking news during the week, the weekend newsletter will deliver stories from around the region that go better with a late brunch. And instead of our “In Other News” category, we’ve compiled the week’s best photos and images.
