Do we not have a benchmark for this kind of thing? Far be it from me to judge, but at VV's annual softball tournament I know Mike K. spends a lot of time on the bench. I'll ask him about it.

Y'all are in luck. I was going through the files on this memory stick that I found and what do you know? There's a picture of the View Street side of Mod. The bench is visible on the left side of the pic up against the windows. This proves that I was on the level about the slanted bench.
I gotta say, for some reason I'm really liking that faux-wood panel and the seemingly smaller-than-typical vehicle entrance.

In an earlier post I mentioned the graffiti on a utility door on the Cook Street side. That issue has since been dealt with.

Mod definitely has one of the better ground levels we've seen recently - aside from the unsettling settle.

What is the Nomi place? I thought they were putting in a restaurant/cafe but a google search shows Nomi as a hair salon?

Earlier in this thread I reported it was going to be a cafe. There must have been something there to indicate such?
I also made a hilarious play on words re: "if you don't Nomi by now you will never know me."
If they delay opening until Christmas 2024 they could do an advertising tie-in with "It's a Wonderful Life". "Mr. Gower! This is George Bailey! Don't you Nomi?"

Upon further review, it was Mike K.'s post #333 which indicated it would be a cafe. Far be it from me to doubt the wisdom and insight of his report.

^That was back in October. I was questioning the purpose of the units inside the ground level, each with their own door. But they were just temporary units during construction, as Mike K. was eager to point out. Mike K. is good at offering correction.

Yea, I remember them indicating a restuarant/cafe space would be there a while back due to the loss of Plutos. Is there room for one around the corner from the Nomi (if it ends up being a salon)?

Maybe there will be two Nomi's in Victoria? There are two Gigi's and it seems to work.
Which reminds me, how long has Shelbourne Physiotherapy been right across the street there on Cook Street? Don't we have a thread for businesses whose names don't match their locales?

842 square feet of private patio space sets this unit apart from virtually every condominium for sale in the city centre, or at the very least, at its price point of $799k with parking. Typically large patios like this are reserved for penthouse units selling for a substantially higher amount.

I think we all know Citified / VV accepts paid advertorials, that has never been unclear.

I’ve never felt I’ve got my money worth. But I’m not sure how else to navigate these **rn sites. I’d ask VV search, but nothing there either.
