Yes those are specific people and where their heads are right now.  Those people honestly think they will be making some change.  Things change after a few days of being there, getting frustrated and a growing mob mentality.  You must know when a mob is resisted, things change.  I'm sure these are 95% great, hardworking folks...  It doesn't take much to light the fuse however.

Especially when you will have instigators in the crowd that the politicians can then use as a reason to discredit the entire event.

You think the Libs will plant people in the crowd to insight the calm...?  The excuse was used down south about a year ago....  That's not happening and the suggestion is hilarious.

Trudeau is already doing that by using comments made on social media to discredit the truckers and their supporters. I 100% think that Liberal supporters are instigating those actions and will continue to do so. If the rally gains traction in Ottawa then they will do even more to undermine it.

Do I think they will try to occupy Parliament - no!

Sweden has decided against recommending COVID vaccines for kids aged 5-11, the Health Agency said on Thursday, arguing that the benefits did not outweigh the risks.

"With the knowledge we have today, with a low risk for serious disease for kids, we don't see any clear benefit with vaccinating them," Health Agency official Britta Bjorkholm told a news conference.

This is poor reporting from Reuters. I know you are quoting the article, but at no point did the Folkhalsomyndigheten say the "benefits don't outweigh the risk".  This wording implies that there is risk from the vaccines themselves.

The health authority simply is saying that children are at a significantly lower risk of developing severe covid-19 compared with adults and that such a recommendation would therefore provide little benefit.

Are you saying there is no risk?

Canadians might be coming around to the fact we are the only ones in the world locked down.

"It will be a difficult February, but it will be a better March," said Ontario Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kieran Moore at a news conference Thursday, referring to the numbers indicating the surge caused by the Omicron variant is easing.

The news conference was Moore's last regularly scheduled public appearance before restrictions ease on Monday

When asked if the public health measures are being lifted too quickly and will be putting Ontarians at risk, Moore said with the added protection of vaccines, particularly with third doses, people will have to "learn to live with this virus."

"In the face of Omicron, I absolutely think we have to start to understand we have to learn to live with this virus and we've let our lives be controlled for the last two years in a significant amount of fear and now we're going to have to change some of that thinking."

Premier Jason Kenney says he wants to eliminate Alberta’s COVID-19 vaccine passport program as soon as it’s safe to do so.

He's being sensitive..  I haven't read anything that disparages the whole group.  Smoke and mirrors...  We know 95-98% are great folks no matter JT's comments...  This can be a proud moment still for Canada, I just fear there is a chance this goes south...  There have been very few names with respect to the organizers, but I think it's fair that we know about them as well...  Glad to see the truckers getting some gas money...

UK:

Two of the nation's top doctors said they refuse to give their own kids a COVID booster shot as vaccinated teenage boys have a low risk of hospitalization, but the likelihood of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart, is higher.

Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious-disease specialist at the University of California, and Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a member of the FDA's vaccine advisory committee, told journalist David Zweig in a piece published on Bari Weiss's Substack, Common Sense, that the benefits of a booster for teen males are outweighed by the possible side effects.

One of the most common serious side effects for a teen from a COVID booster jab was myocarditis, a rare heart inflammation case that occurs in males at almost nine-times the rate than females, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Almost every day, all of the local and country-wide articles...  As I've said before, except for some of the far wings it's been pretty mundane...

I think what is really irking the Liberals and NDP is that the truckers are bringing in more money than their campaigns are!

Hard to believe this is a mainstream broadcast. A sign that the real convoy can't be ignored and isn't "a Fringe minority’ with ‘unacceptable views’ that don’t represent Canadians"....

Health officials in British Columbia reported another 2,033 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases in the province dipped below 30,000 to 29,556.

Unfortunately, after a notable dip in the number of COVID-positive people in hospital on Wednesday, the number jumped back up from 949 to 977 today.

The number of COVID-positive people in intensive care went up as well, from 136 to 141.

Another 13 COVID-19 deaths were reported today, another double digit number after 21 were reported on Wednesday, which brings BC’s pandemic death toll to 2,588.

This is how it's been, I'm telling you, it's not being ignored...  It's just not going to change much.  Not defending Trudeau but he wasn't talking about the convoy itself being a fringe minority.

Ismo07, you were saying this convoy would do nothing... It has caused the opposition leader to smell the winds of change and to try to save his but!

The intent is not to disrupt supply chains. The intent is to end mandates which will improve them. You have your head in the sand if you are not aware of the supply chain disruption we are presently experiencing. well before these trucker mandates.....

The inadvertent outcome, though, is showing that without these truckers doing their job trucking stuff, store shelves remain supplied.

These guys say the vaccine mandate at the border means there will be economic disruptions. We're going to see right away if that's true, since none of these guys are doing their jobs, right?

Trudeau overstepped there with his musings on the convoy. It felt unscripted and rushed, and we got an inside look into his persona.
