Are you suggesting masking and distancing reduce the transmission of viruses?
You can never expect these anti-vaxers to do anything but speak out of both sides of their mouths.
It's their mantra.
Their voices were once loud and endless in this thread ... now reduced to embarrassing gaffs like this one, and repeating (somebody else's) same failed talking points over, and over, and over again.

Masking wasn’t prevalent here in until late 2020 and yet zero flu cases were reported.
And what happened before the masking?

He won't answer because to do so would expose yet another embarrassing gaff, and highlight the double talk and straight up B.S.
So I'll give it a shot.
March 2020:
- Shelter in Place Order
- All public service facilities close, restaurants, bars, playgrounds, etc
- Cancellation of all events involving groups
- Social distancing
- Obsessive hand washing
- And much, much more ... eventually culminating in the mask order in late 2020.
That's why there was no flu, because all of the above works to reduce virus transmission ... just as the Emergency Health Order said it would.

The province's mandatory mask mandate has been in place since July 2020, for a total of 21 consecutive months, but officially ends on Saturday, making Quebec the last province to drop its mandate.

Quebec kept the mask mandate in place longer than anyone else. Didn’t help.

As of today, Quebecers will no longer have to wear a mask in most indoor spaces across the province.

They are still middle of the pack for Canada and higher than most of the US in current cases.

Love the inferences to other deaths when related to Covid... Like more people die for other reasons so we shouldn't care.... For all the driving in the US wouldn't you think vehicular deaths should be more than a virus that can be defended easily? Gun deaths are over 1,700 per day (in 20210 and the US isn't too concerned about that)...

You're missing the point: It's a tool in the toolbox. One tool alone doesn't fix the problem.

What is a Yellow Card?
The Yellow Card scheme is a mechanism by which anybody can voluntarily report any suspected adverse reactions or side effects to the vaccine. It is very important to note that a Yellow Card report does not necessarily mean the vaccine caused that reaction or event. We ask for any suspicions to be reported, even if the reporter isn’t sure if it was caused by the vaccine. Reports to the scheme are known as suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs).

Moments after winning the Italian Open on Sunday afternoon in Rome, Novak Djokovic closed his eyes, tilted his head toward the sky, smiled and raised his racket with his right arm as he received a standing ovation. The Serbian tennis star soaked in his first tournament title since November after missing a chunk of the season because he was unvaccinated against the coronavirus.
