Political interests are spooling up for a concentrated attack on Langford's political establishment with the end game of installing a political presence on council mirroring Together Victoria.

Pay special attention to how the Danbrook One issue is positioned by media outlets. Danbrook One is going to serve as a dominant point of political activism next year and it will be used to undermine every facet of the current political leadership in Langford.

West Shore voters as a whole are going to be confronted by a different election in 2022 with political groups dedicated to taking advantage of an unaware voter base generally happy with the status quo and not politically active. This is a weakness on the West Shore and has been for a long time.

We are seeing this with a "Westshore Focused" Capital Daily "Newspaper". They will be talking about the lack of housing while speaking out of both sides of their mouth about too much housing being built or too much development.

If you like urban decay, you'll love the new mantra.

Last thing Langford needs is the woken dead having any say in the city. They seem to think that downtown Portland is a real success story. They have managed to turn Victoria into a shithole in under eight years.

I truly believe that the Capitol Daily is political to the point it needs to be registered as such.   While we see the Time Colonist being slanted, it is too blatant for the Capitol Daily.  From their articles to their twitter posts, it is all one agenda.

Love Langford Mayor Stew Young or hate him, you have to admire his guts for not just following other local municipalities and their tree bylaws.

I support Young’s opposition because no existing legislation really deals with what I think should be focus of a tree bylaw in an urban setting.  This should be to increase the size and quality of our urban forest.

A landowner wishing to remove a tree on their property should have to plant two new ones.

What if someone had planted a tree in an area one should not have been planted (like above utilities)?  Rules like "remove one tree you must plant 2" are so oversimplified and dumbed down that they can only come from the City of Victoria or UVIC.

It's no wonder Stew has the popularity in Langford that he does.
