Apparently he's not interested in being next party leader.

Why would he want to lose an election and then be blamed?

Yep. If he (or anyone, really) IS interested, they'd be smart not to be the next one, but be the one after that.

Lots going on locally in Nanaimo this week with Trudeau, Mark Carney, and the entire liberal caucus arriving, along with plenty of media. Andrew Scheer was also in town this morning giving a press conference on the waterfront. I wonder what the hotel situation is like..

You misspelled circus.

Personally, I don't mind that image on the last page showing Singh walking off into the sunset.

Has anyone noticed that they are starting a campaign that if you don’t like Trudeau, you are a Russian agent or duped by Russian propaganda?

CBC just an article on this, I don’t care enough to look it up but some boomer posted it on fb. Something about Russians promoting PP and not JT? Is PP Russian owned now too?

I asked for a better non biased source, I won’t hold my breath.

I've heard that in the fall of 1978 Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, took personal DNA samples and created a hybrid clone using Anita Bryant as the surrogate gestation host. Pierre Poilievre was born the following June.

The irony is it’s a conspiracy theory! Haha. Pathetic.

That is because Trudeau promised to throw all our mighty armed forces into the battle against the evil that is Russia. Putin laughed. Trudeau is just trying to put on big boy pants and be meaningful on the world stage, he doesn't realize the show has left town and only the clowns remain.

All three top candidates were within 3 votes of each other earlier in the night. Then the top two split off, but were tied for a bit. Wild night.

Global:

Trudeau’s government could face confidence vote next week

The first confidence test of Justin Trudeau’s government this fall could take place next week, and if the government falls, the country could be thrust into an election.

The Government House Leader’s office has informed the Conservatives their first opposition day motion is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, with a vote taking place on Wednesday Sept. 25.

There’s not much time left. Canada cannot hold an election too far into November due to weather.

We've held elections during pandemic "lockdowns", surely an election can be held during winter.

That’s not true. People in this country do just fine despite weather.
