I suspect that graph is not accurate at all. If anything, it’s the reverse.

It is from my work and it is accurate.

 

The remote workers are taking substantially more sick days. Feel free to speculate as to why.

 

I do not know how representative it is of other workplaces.

Interesting. I did some searching and everything I saw points to the overall trend being the opposite.
Are sick days paid in your workplace past the first 5? What’s the general field and number of employees?

On Wednesday, hundreds of Bell employees were supposedly laid off in 10-minute group virtual meetings, a move the union representing them called "beyond shameful." In a news release, the union claimed that Bell's human resources and labour manager read a notice and didn't allow anyone to un-mute to ask questions.

About 20 per cent of Canadians still work most of their hours from home, Statistics Canada reported in January. While that's a drop from 40 per cent in 2020, it's still much higher than pre-pandemic level of seven per cent.

Bell is a shamboozle of an org. Three rounds of layoffs ago one of their VP's who is a friend got laid off - right on the heels of their ironically branded "Let's Talk" mental health campaign. A year later more folks in the Radio Sales division befell the same fate, at the same time, In February when they whacked nearly 5000 more staff two more people I knew in their Radio Sales department got chopped. Its a precarious industry and the longer you're in it, and the bigger your paycheck, the bigger the bullseye on your back....

 

I'm waving and cheering from the sidelines. And working. Still from home, naturally:thumbsup:

And yet CTV/Bell keeps Adam Sawatsky. He's been at CTV Vancouver Island since the start and he survives every round of layoffs.
