I don’t think Vaughn Palmer would publish something he had not heard from a reputable source.

"On Vancouver Island the NDP are leading with 43 per cent followed by the Greens (24 per cent) and Conservatives (23 per cent) effectively tied for second,” he explained.
"Outside of Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island, it's the Conservatives who are leading by 15 points over the NDP (48-33)."

Why are the people on Vancouver Island so supportive of the NDP? I can't think of one thing they have done to make life better for Islanders.

"Fussing the next"?
Of course I will hold the feet of whoever wins to the fire. Bad governance comes in many guises.

Maybe due to a much higher percentage of union employment? The NDP does cater more to unions than any other party.

Teresa Wat says quitting the Opposition BC United Party to join John Rustad's British Columbia Conservatives is the only path available for a free-enterprise coalition to defeat the New Democrats in the fall election.
Wat, an 11-year veteran at the B.C. legislature who represents the riding of Richmond Centre, says getting rid of David Eby's New Democrats is her top priority and Rustad's Conservatives offer the best opportunity.
Wat, the fourth BC United member of the legislature to join Rustad, told a news conference today it has become clear to her the B.C. Conservatives are in the best position to defeat the NDP.
She says she was being approached daily by constituents — including while she was at a local pet shop having her cat groomed — to make the right decision to fight the New Democrats.

British Columbia’s Opposition BC United says it wants to include the party’s previous Liberal name on the fall election ballot after internal polling shows up to 30 per cent of people didn’t know the party changed its name.
BC United communications director Adam Wilson says the party is preparing to formally apply to Elections BC to have a phrase acknowledging that it was formally known as the B.C. Liberals included on the ballot for the election this fall.

For a hitherto unknown organization the “BC” party seems oddly popular.
