I tried to find the age or date of birth for the Algerian boxer. Came up blank.

Can somebody else try?

Canada wins gold in men's 4x100 metre relay
Canada won the gold medal in the men's 4x100 metre relay at the Paris Olympics on Friday.

The men's team of Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, Brendon Rodney and Andre De Grasse crossed the line in a season-best time of 37.50.

It is Canada's seventh gold medal of these Olympic Games which equals the total from Tokyo 2021 and Barcelona 1992.

they did it from lane 9 also, which sounds just about impossible to do since the runners (except maybe degrasse) are running blind because of the stagger. i suppose they would just go flat-out from the starting gun. that makes me think of the race of 2016, the men's 400 where the winner set a world record from lane 9: https://www.youtube....h?v=xG91krXuxyw

Broadcasters criticized for misgendering non-binary athletes at Paris Olympics

Runner Nikki Hiltz and shot putter Raven Saunders have both been referred to as 'she' by commentators

Did both of them compete as women?

If so, then she/her pronouns are correct.

Four Canadian sprinters gave the X symbol to support actual women in the Olympics.  Not the male boxers beating women.

Why does the one fellow have his name crossed out?

Why does the one fellow have his name crossed out?

I don't have an answer to the question, but it appears that it's not specifically designed to cross out his name, as De Grasse has the same yellow tape across the front of his shorts, and the guy on the right has the same yellow tape around his left leg.

That pic is from before the race when the teams are being introduced.

The runners put the tape on the track about 15m behind them so they know when to start running. As soon as they see their teammate pass that mark, they take off.

Thats why only 3 of them have the tape, not Brown as he’s running the first leg and doesn’t need it.

If you rewatch, you’ll see the runners measure out their steps to find the right spot and you’ll see the tape on the track
