See you there!
It's great that her grandson will also appear. Time flies.

Mod Sun is her boyfriend, Wikipedia tells me.
Beginning in October 2018, Smith was in a polyamorous relationship with internet personality Tana Mongeau and actress Bella Thorne. After the throuple's breakup, he began a monogamous relationship with Thorne. Smith and Thorne became engaged, got married and then subsequently divorced within fifteen months. In early 2020, he began a monogamous relationship with Mongeau, and broke by the end of the year. As of 2021, he is currently in a relationship with Canadian musician Avril Lavigne.

Monty Python funnyman John Cleese is circling back to Victoria next year after a planned club performance in November fell through due to scheduling difficulties.
Cleese, 82, is bringing his Exceptional Silliness tour to the Royal Theatre on May 18. He has performed in the city several times in recent years, with each date selling out by showtime. His standup performance in May is expected to hit full capacity before next week is out, so act quickly as tickets are now on sale.
Prices start at $106.50, with the option for a VIP experience set at $327.

I understand the VIP experience includes your own privately performed silly walk. I'd choose the one from "The Germans" episode of Fawlty Towers.

Well done.
Jordan Peterson is going on tour again. Canadian dates not announced yet.

Tickets are not selling very well.

I think he sold out 8 straight shows at the Mac a few years back.
Maybe the ticket price and Covid are keeping people away.
Looks like it’s only about 30% sold.
Which also makes that line in the article above a bit laughable. It already reads like boosterism rather than a news article. The article also appeared well after the show was actually announced, that also already made it suspect.

The show was announced December 1, the article came out December 4th.

We will see I guess. But generally, I think 80% of the tickets that are going to sell, usually sell in the first couple days for almost any show.

Remove the requirement that I have to sit being smothered under a mask for several hours in the theatre and I'd buy tickets in a heartbeat.

Masking, or just age of - and thus enthusiasm of show-goers. It must average well over 55.
But something is making this a tough sale.
Although based on those maps the highest priced tickets hwve sold.

I’d say masking was 50/50 when I was at the Royal. Also, it’s hardly smothering. Get a grip.
Perhaps you breathe differently. For me, more than about 10 minutes with a mask on and I become very congested.

I don’t know what previous ticket prices were. Or performance quality was.

Maybe it’s disenfranchisement over former cancelled shows?
How’s ZZ Top doing?

Label it a “tough sale” if you wish, but keep in mind the thing is over five months away, and pretty much nobody knew about it until the T-C article came out a day ago. Not to mention, it’s December and people might be little hesitant to add such a cost to the usual seasonal spending…

Not sure nobody knew about it, I received the email from RMTS on the first, just as all past ticket buyers for any show would have, unless you opted out of alerts.
