He has performed in the city several times in recent years, with each date selling out by showtime. His standup performance in May is expected to hit full capacity before (this) week is out, so act quickly as tickets are now on sale.
Prices start at $106.50, with the option for a VIP experience set at $327.

Y'know when we founded the band back in 1965 we were in fact very "Grateful" and the good thing was we weren't actually "Dead". So naturally the two went together like hand in glove hence the name "Grateful Dead". And things went swimmingly for awhile. Then in 1995 I did actually die. Major bummer. But you know what? After 26 years I decided I really didn't like being dead so......
.......after an absence of a quarter century I am thrilled to announce that for ONE show and ONE show only, from "some time" late on the evening of Dec 24 into the wee hours of the morning on Dec 25 2021, at a long term Victoria elder care home near you, I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack baby.....!
Yes folks its "Jerry Garcia Santa", featuring my greatest hits including "Truckin" - specially re-worked just for this Christmas Special as "Sleddin" for reasons that should be obvious, even to a Dead Head - and "Touch of Grey" which given my appearance below is performed in its updated iteration, "Pot Head of Pure White as the Driven Snow"......DISCLAIMER: any opiate or mood altering substance references and/or inferences are purely intentional.
"Just remember if the thunder don't get ya, then the lightning will...." J. Garcia*
*The REAL J Garcia.....not this fake pseudo-Jerry Garcia Santa wannabe.....

So the TC said it was expected to be sold out by yesterday, but it seems to me it's only a little over about 1/3 sold.

^ And don't forget about the comps. There are a few artists who will perform to 10 people if that is what it takes to please their fans but most would find a reason (illness) to cancel at these levels.

My partner suggested that people were allowed to at least take off their masks to eat their popcorn. I said they could easily make a bag last for the entire show.

I'm not sure what the rules are in movie theaters, but last night none of the crowd was wearing a mask....My partner suggested that people were allowed to at least take off their masks to eat their popcorn...
And here we have yet another COVID inconsistency. Unless movie theatres are going to employ staff to act as mask police for the entire running time of each film, of course most people are going to remove their face coverings in the darkness. Why offer concession sales - that are the real money maker of the movie theatre business - if people cannot consume what they purchase?
Live theatre and concerts rely on public shaming of their fully vaccinated patrons to prevent those who might dare remove their masks in order to better enjoy the experience. What live theatres/concerts need to do is promote their performances as educational events and - voila - masks would no longer be required, just like in university lecture halls.
Another option would be to call live theatre "artistic faith gatherings" where neither vaccination nor masking would be mandatory.
We're all in this together.
