"Did My Nails"

"Picked up some cream for morning coffee"

"Put gas in my car"

"Stretched my "no update" website policy to a new record ... a year and a half"

"went to bed"

"got up"

Thank goodness for Lore! ... if not for her unbelievably comprehensive, constituent focused schedule, her riding would be in very dire straights!

...Most you would canvas for a recall would probably say Grace who? Then you would need to say exactly!

A profile so low I bet even most people who voted for her don't know who she is or what she has been doing since being elected.  :whyme:

From Ms. Lore’s social media. I don’t think it’s quite correct to say the MLA is not doing anything, but her pursuits are definitely not focused on some of the prevalent issues on Victoria streets. At least not directly.

I suspect that the Ministry of Information produces these, sticks the MLA photo and contact info on them and then posts it to their social media channels. Can't see that they would allow a backbencher to make stuff on their own.

The Royal BC Museum is not only seismically deficient but faces significant flooding risk and must be replaced immediately, the province’s business case suggests.

On Wednesday, the B.C. government released the business case, a 109-page document with more than 30 of them redacted, for its proposed $789-million replacement for the aging museum.

It concludes that the current museum is “beyond its useful life and is seismically unsafe for visitors, staff, collections and exhibits,” and has inadequate collections storage.

The province has made the unprecedented decision to release its business case and concept plan to replace the Royal BC Museum after the estimated cost of $789 million caused plenty of controversy last week.

According to the province, the business case backs the museum’s legislated mandate to protect B.C.’s natural and human history.

“Developed in 2018, the plan assessed the cost of options to repair, revitalize or replace the museum, and showed that the cost of repair or revitalization would be more than building a new museum without meeting overall project objectives,” the province said in a statement Wednesday, (May 25).

We all complain about crumbling infrastructure - this is how it gets fixed.

Buildings on either side - each over 2x older - seem to be standing. Belmont Building (1912) still going.

I suspect there's a lot of other infrastructure of a higher priority that needs to be fixed. And let's not forget that more than 20% of British Columbians have little-to-no access to preventative health care. The government's "business case" for a $1 billion museum replacement is BS.

No. Lots of us are fine with renovations to certain areas - done in phases while rear stays open - rather than 8 year closure.

Lets face it. #1 problem is that very few people trust the Government. They sell us lies and excuses time and time again and then expect people to drink the kool-aid next time around. Apparently it would cost up to $1.3B to renovate the museum so $800M is a great deal for a new one. Who actually believes that after being told the same lie about countless other projects which then all wind up costing 2x as much and fail to deliver on what they promised?!

All I read is a bunch of weak, fabricated excuses to try and support a decision which has already been made.

The fact that they suddenly closed the Old Town exhibit on the flimsiest of excuses tends to undermine their arguments.  It’s pretty hard to believe that it’s not just wokery writ large.

I’m looking forward to an objective analysis of the business case.  I would also like to know why, if the situation was so dire in 2018, we are just hearing about it five years later.
