Most of the Americans I work with on a daily basis refer to the business as Whole Wallet or Whole Paycheck not Whole Foods

I went to Whole Foods in Burnaby Saturday just to see what we can expect.
I am going to need more money to shop there. Wholy Moly.

Whole Foods puts the "Whole" in Whole-y Moley

Is the store going to be staffed by vampires? The architecture suggests a lot of windows but the actual windows are few, no?

Our teen daughter started working a second p/t job at one of the spas at Uptown; last night I had the pleasure of picking her up. Yowza....with the new Brown's Social House, a soon-to-be Whole Foods and the residential tower in the not too distant future adding more traffic this is going to be "interesting". If last night was an indication it should be fun.....

The residential tower will only add maybe 35 people per day to the place. Estimates of local traffic are largely overly optimistic.

Was actually thinking more of the increased traffic generated by Whole Foods and especially in addition to the Douglas/Carey Road reconfiguration. It was a gong show with gridlocked cars and horns blaring in the area of the underground at the intersection where Brown's is, immediately adjacent to where the tower will be and directly below the W-F. And this was on a Monday at 6:45....

The more I drives down Blanshard the more I hate that wall of no windows on the backside. Who had that brilliant idea.
Also a lot of the Americans I deal with through work on a daily basis say that Wholefoods should be renamed as Whole Wallet or Whole Paycheck.

My understanding is that developer wanted store fronts but wanted parking as well, which MoTI wasn't willing to go with (as they own Blanshard St in Saanich)

That whole side though should have had windows instead of a Berlin Wall. It was bad enough looking at the back side of the Woolco Store not much of an improvement aesthetically speaking. Saanich and Moth should also think about installing a pedestrian overpass
When I see people crossing that road it brings me back a few decades to the arcade game Frogger

Yes indeed open walls like city parkades not a utilitarian wall of nothing. It offensive.
