Red Fish Blue Fish is a seafood restaurant that’s been located on Broughton Pier since around 2006, according to information in a City of Victoria report presented to the committee of the whole on Sept. 7.

The restaurant is so popular that it’s looking to expand its footprint by adding two more structures to help improve its business, which the report says “enjoys significant popularity with local citizens and visitors alike.

I will say the line was only 30 mins on Friday of Labour day weekend which was a pleasant surprise

I see the Rock Cod in cow bay is for sale again. I think it closed at the end of 2021 because there was no money and it reopened the following April, with a long time manager and her son as owners. Must be doing pretty well right now because it’s listed for $400k!

A staple of Victoria’s upper Douglas Street will be closing this December and relocating to a temporary “mini location” until an alternative spot is found for 2025, says owner Jolanda Machholz.

The new spot for Java Jo’s will open in early January on Johnson and Cook streets in downtown Victoria, while a location with “loads of parking” is secured for a future full-size cafe. Formerly the Java Jo’s location was operated as a Serious Coffee franchise.

Pinhalla Pizzeria serving NY style pizza with 40ish pinball and old school arcade games coming to lower Fisgard.  I'm sure they may serve some forms of alcohol...  Sounds like November....
