I recall that I think...  For some reason I thought that virtual arcade was partly them but I don't think so.  This space opened up I guess.....

Pinhalla Pizzeria serving NY style pizza with 40ish pinball and old school arcade games coming to lower Fisgard.  I'm sure they may serve some forms of alcohol...  Sounds like November....

It's nerd talk to use a first name..?.  Does he have something to do with Quazars too?  I thought this new joint is partly Quazars...  I remember him as a server at Brasserie..  Good guy...

I have been making day trips into Victoria lately to stock up for work and find myself making a point of spending time in Sidney. Farmers daughter, 900 degree pizza, taste of Tokyo, satellite seafood, Five and Dime, Fish on Fifth, maybe a walk down the pier.. it’s lovely! If it’s close to dinner time I often pick up at Sabhai Thai and bring it home on the ferry. Really can’t say enough about how good the food is. Can call when I leave town, always easy parking for pickup since Sidney closes at 4 pm and on my way but I usually peruse the menu, order and go for a walk while I wait.

Today was red curry with chicken, $19 and grilled beef salad, $20. Don’t tell them this, but the prices are 20% too low.
Curry with rice would be $23 and a meal for two, or one with leftovers.

If I could find a decently priced, newish condo in Sidney, I don't think I would hesitate to leave downtown. Sidney really does seem to have a lot going for it.

Yes it does! Not sure I would love the aircraft overhead all the time though. My house is on the yvr flight path, but they are pretty high up by the time they go over so barely notice. Had to stop conversation a few times today due to the noise.

I am sure Sidney's airplane noise is no worse than the sirens and sounds from the "most vulnerable" I experience here in North Park.

I walked from the parkade to Dutch bakery to the mod and back, no fewer than six people passed out around the sidewalks, one person getting first aid in a bike lane on fort, one person getting first aid in a stairwell alcove, two fire trucks two ambulances (all separate) and massive reek of pee in the parkade stairwell. In all fairness, parkade stairwells have never smelled much different to me. The area around the cool aid building on the way out of the parkade on Pandora and alleyway was fine. Clean, no one hanging around.

I think you and my kid are neighbours, being a young 20 something they enjoy the vibe.

Yeah the Fort St pocket, at the mid-block cross walk and the Tim Hortons there is a blight for sure.

The Sidney Bakery is the best around! We drive out there a few times a year and indulge ourselves.
