Is the former Councillor Shellie Gudgeon? Makes sense, owns Il Terrazzo. I hear her brothers quite a force in downtown food and beverage too.

First a tiny little Tim Hortons popped up out of nowhere in the TD Bank strip mall at Fort and Foul Bay, and now a new A&W has popped up out of nowhere, too.

 

Lest we forget, there used to be a McDonald's in that strip mall, over on the other corner where the computer place is now (the original tenant was a muffin place, I seem to recall). But of course that was years before the later wave of McDonald's closures due to waning public interest in fast food. And waning public interest in fast food is now no longer a thing. Which leads some observers to wonder if it was ever really a thing after all.

So yeah, new A&W.

Is anything happening at the former Broad and View gallery space?

For lease signs are up. The space on broad street next door has some very curious goings-on. It’s full of some very old heavy industrial machinery. Not sure what’s happening there.

I couldn't remember the name of Sweet Nancy's for a bit, but l know they either moved to, or consolidated locations, at Uptown. I see that location is also now closed. Sorry, not food and beverage related, my apologies.
