Now I'm no restauranteur, nor bon vivant, downtown food and beverage insider like Ismo07, but that seems like an uncommonly long period of time to be closed. Any suggestion as to reason?

Their fancy pizza oven was broken and can only get the required parts from Italy.

Wow! 3 months closure because you need a new pilot light! No wonder they say the food and beverage industry is tough!

Chef Nick Nutting is opening a sister restaurant to his wildly successful Wolf in the Fog in Tofino called Ombre, promising euro small plates as well as cocktails and wine.  It's in the old SoBo location,

Brickyard Pizza has been closed for over a week as well due to broken equipment. This place is dope.

Frickin Doughnuts, 600blk Yates, announces closure.

Not surprising. Weren't they some sort of vegan, gluten, fun-free donut shop?

My guess is the girls who work late nights and weekends needed an oil change and 5000 mile general inspection before returning to service(ing).

Ask Ismo07, he knows all the girls. And may be partly the reason for their gasket replacement so soon.

Jeepers. What is with you and your fetish for Ismo. Are you secretly him, throwing a fake echo chamber account?

In proof I'll freely admit that, for myself, l would not choose to be a habitue of an establishment that simultaneously offers: a haircut, a hotdog, and a shot, within the same premises. Nothing wrong with it, a fine, well spoken of, place of business, l am assured of, and am sure of. However, not my thing. Nor do I indulge the theory that every place of business, stopping short of daycares, that offers provender for sale, should also be licensed to offer intoxicating fermented and distilled beverages before I visit.
