At what time?
I saw it about 10 minutes ago. The driver of the bus I was on called it in and they hadn't heard about it so I assume somewhat recent before that.

Gotcha, thank you. Did it look like the vehicle may have rolled over from the travel lane of the highway?

I lived at that intersection for ten years and there were quite a number of accidents including an airborne stolen Porsche, flipped pickup trucks etc.

Four Criminal Code charges, including impaired driving, have been sworn against a man in connection with a July collision that left a 20-year-old woman with a traumatic brain injury.
Aisha Strange was on her moped by the intersection of McKenzie Avenue and Shelburne Street about 7 a.m. July 15 when she was struck by a van. The driver tried to flee but was soon caught.

Police barricades at Johnson, Yates, and Fort. Traffic was a mess. Was this a paid political announcement?
Who paid for the police presence?
I heard some wanker on a bull horn say take your money out of the bank and put it into Van City Credit Union.
Then I had to navigate around a sleeper on the sidewalk on Douglas Street.
I give up.

occasionally there are protests downtown against the big banks that invest in fossil fuel companies.

Next thing you know the big banks will be in bed with national governments, profiting from war, etc.

Young woman injured, dog dead after pedestrian collision in Oak Bay
Vic PD is investigating the incident
https://www.vicnews....ion-in-oak-bay/
pedestrian collision? two or more people walking collided? and a dog died?
it's in oak bay but vicpd is investigating?
Julianne Cameron said her daughter, 20, and one-and-a-half year old French bulldog named Louie were hit at the crosswalk at Leighton Road and Foul Bay Road on Thursday afternoon around 1:30 p.m.
“When she entered the crosswalk with her dog she was struck and it was pretty gruesome,” Cameron said. “The last vision she has of her dog is a gory image.”
Cameron, who is a high school teacher, said she took the day off on Friday to care for her daughter who is “hysterical” and has been “wailing” since the incident.
she took a day of work to console her 20-year-old daughter who's been hysterical and wailing since the incident? why are "hysterical" and "wailing" in quotes?

The border runs right down the middle of the street. It's possiible the woman was in one municipality and the dog in another at the time of the collision.
In the past we've read about incidents like this where adjoining police departments literally stand on the border debating who should take charge. Here, either the aftermath fell on the Victoria side or VicPD was thought to have the best resources to investigate.

Those words would be the exact words used by the mother, not the opinion of the writer. What an awful, senseless event.
