Is golf course still an allowed use?
I’d love to have a mini-golf course on my estate.

I think its an allowed use, but not so sure it would qualify as the revenue to get farm property tax status .

I scratched my head a bit at the raising egg prices. I don't know much about the economics for poultry meat, but egg farms are not hurting for cash. It's a fairly easy operation and makes a LOT of money at typical scale, even one farm of 10k birds makes plenty.

I've been raising wild crows for about 4 years now, so all my eggs are free.

Careful, they hold a grudge.

If mangoes are too expensive I can buy a substitute. If my rent is too high or my mortgage jumps, moving is difficult. Ok thanks? What a weird article. I thought maybe they were going to say something provocative like we should scrap some farm land for condos

Fruit-picking project scaled back as funds dry up
After a month-long fundraising campaign in June collected less than half its $25,000 goal, LifeCycles says it has to cut back programs
Why don't all the people that need the free fruit come and pick them themselves?

How would that work, post an ad and let randoms into your yard to climb ladders and pick fruit?
Maybe it would be a bit more organized.
Is there no commercial operation that could make a success of it?
The current model seems to have no revenue component, unless you count the contra part of it.

Over here, we have an outfit called Wild Cider, who is killing it by the way. They may have outgrown this, but when they started they used a lot of gleaned fruit. You could either bring in your fruit for sale or trade, or they would come to you, for sale or trade, but a lower value since they were doing the work.
It’s possible, but labour is such these days I don’t know how many pickers you’d find.
