The positive aspects of two new office projects in Downtown on either side of the Hudson. They did a 360 shot from the Bay parkade noting the dramatic changes about to come. They had a quote from Travis Lee, the guy behing GG. That's about it.
"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

This building will block the view of the bright blue First Island Financial logo. I guess it's worth it though for a shinny new 15 storey office building.

This is the view it'll block for me. However, consider me a YIMFY on the subject (yes in my front yard).

Jack Davis doesn't look half bad from there (in the evening).

That's not saying much, as even the parkade doesn't look half bad in that shot!

There will still be a little view corridor through the "carriageway" between the two phases.

Gateway Green has some type of green leafy paint/mural on the upper floor now facing Blanshard. Looks kinda neat.

Yeah I saw that today, I think it was a big banner. Like they gift wrapped the building.

Well, you can see the building itself in my photo above, but it's pre-leafy-shroud.

I'll be downtown later this afternoon so I'll have to check out this mystic shroud with my own eyes. Seems cool.

Local artist Xane St. Phillip has been contracted to design the green wall on the exterior. This piece of public art will be part of the project's amnenity package. Other amenities are a widening and improvement of the existing mid-block walkway, green roof, an easement along Blanshard St. and $100,000 to the public housing trust fund.

The building is 15 storeys tall and the floor space ratio is 7.6:1 (the current limit being 3:1).

This project goes to Commitee of the Whole February 15.

Does the DRA have any site plans for the development, specifically the distance between GG and First Island?

This is a rendering contained in the Colliers marketing materials for the project.

There is more info in there, as well as a site plan that I was looking for, if anyone's interested: http://www.colliersm... ... Green.pdf
