I wish we had Daiso here. That is one of my favourite stops in Richmond.

I would also have accepted:

Another Daiso, another dollar store.

Daiso, as we know it, has closed in Richmond’s Aberdeen Centre and has been rebranded as Oomono.

I was surprised when I was at the mall in August. They had new product from Oomono and were selling out their remaining Daiso product.

there is an oomomo in my mall, Lougheed Town Centre, It's all daiso products, the exact same merchandise.

there is also another new japanese dollar store called Everyday Japan Items. And I overheard him telling the customers in front of me, that they were based out of Osaka and that their company makes most of the products for daiso and some other big 100 yen store in Japan. They opened in Royal City Centre in New Westminster. There is an Oomomo opening at Metropolis, in the space that used to be the restaurant TGIF, its going to be quite large.

Oh-no-no (sorry) that is too bad! But maybe if this new store is spreading out to new places they will give Victoria a try?

GAIN also owns Subaru of Nanaimo - I wish they'd buy the Colwood one from JP.

Numerous news reports indicate that Forever 21 will be heading into bankruptcy soon.  They operate a retail outlet in Victoria at Uptown.

The folks at Uptown can't catch a break. It has been a revolving door of tenants since they opened.
