$2200 to insure two vehicles for the year with no collision and a maximum discount is insane.

Are the amounts you are getting roughly equal to the quoted 19% paid between the eligible months?
Seeing a number of people claim they're receiving very small amounts $2, $5, etc.

It’s all a mystery. My rebate is in line with most people I know, but I had two vehicles insured in 2020 so I’m not sure if the cheque pertains to one or both as the accompanying letter made no reference to a specific policy.
I did some back of the envelope math on mine, and it was in line with the expected 19%.
I think you mentioned upthread that you use private optional insurance, possibly the $147 you received was for both your vehicles.

That’s only as of January of 2021, but the rebates are for 2020, I thought?
Yes, you're right. The rebate is meant to be approximately 19% of the premium customers paid for coverage between April 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020.

ICBC to issue second COVID-19 rebate
The province says this second rebate is "in recognition of lower claims costs due to fewer crashes" throughout the pandemic. The new rebates, which ICBC says will average $120 per policy, will be sent out in mid-July. "Roughly 70% of customers will get a rebate between $60 and $200," the province says. Thousands of British Columbians are still waiting to receive cheques as part of the auto insurer's first rebate promise.

I think I got these rebates recently. One was via cheque and the other via credit card.
I have been rebated 3x now for the same policy. I am pretty close to the point where they are paying me to have insurance. Happy days!

Yeh, one is supposedly a credit card and I got a cheque a while back. Is there a third coming up then?
I find it odd that ICBC cancelled their monthly payment via credit card plan. I pay all at once but monthly would help.
