Portable Tower Crane Going In...

It appears a small tower crane will be used after all.  It looks to be one of the Potain Igo self-erecting models (Potain is made by Manitowoc).  They must be anticipating some wind cause that is one seriously heavy weight stack.  Also notice how they've had to encroach on the parking lot to expand their work area.

If I'm the property owner, I might settle on $400 each per month.

Isn't Pandora south of the Janion and the parking lot north?

Well there is the old railway parking lot to the South but a bigger lot to the North. (Not sure why I'm capitalizing the directions)

New Crane Deployed...

Looks cool.  I believe it is also controlled via a wireless remote.  You can see steps to the top but I think those are strictly for servicing.  EDIT: it looks like the crane operator sits in a cab at the base of the crane.  Also, I count 25 parking spaces commandeered.  This lot is always full too.

Okay, after some further digging I've concluded the Janion crane is the Potain Igo HDT80 (those 6300lb plates are one giveaway).  It's not a current model but it does have some cool features, like a cab that climbs the tower!  It's also quite impressive how these large cranes almost deploy themselves.  Here is a small 360p promo of the product.

As LocalMom said, there's one south of the Janion too. I don't know whether that's the City's land or whether that's owned by Reliance now.

From the renderings it always appears to be part of the Janion development.

I see in the photos it's been cleared of bridge construction activity. Was it used for that before? Anyhow, if Reliance owns it they must be making some money from the City for providing access.

It is city land I believe but reliance has to make the public square as an amenity.

Nice to see a crane finally. I've been waiting to see a crane up since I got my bright pink priority registrant card.

Smallest is 243 sq/ft I believe.  The largest would be the penthouse (approximately 1,150 sq/ft?) but I can't make out the numbers in the blurry paperwork I have - see below.  After the penthouse the largest unit is 821 sq/ft.  Right now on MLS® the highest priced unit they have is $436,900+GST+$35,000 for parking.

On launch I believe they had three studios starting at $110,000+GST and those are all sold.

They were selling the ground level unit that is attached to the walkway for 599k. It was in theory a commercial unit on the front and a studio at the back.  For the time being it was one residential unit. Dont know if anyone bought it.
