It would seem as though the plague hasn't stopped progress on the "alleged" third Walmart store in the region.

...[Kerry] Shular, [general manager at Hillside shopping centre] would not comment on the space formerly occupied by Sears, where crews have been at work for several weeks. Reports say the space is being prepared for the region’s third Walmart store, but the company isn’t confirming it...

Why would it? Unlike the federal parliament, WalMart is an essential service!

Alleged no more, it seems.

BP for Hillside Walmart was issued at the end of June, so exterior work should be starting up!

We'll be celebrating the 10 year opening anniversary and Hillside/Wal Mart will still claim the rumors are false.

Methinks the most dangerous internet rumours are the internet rumours that turn out to be true. People might start trusting their own eyes and ears instead of official sources.

We'll be celebrating the 10 year opening anniversary and Hillside/Wal Mart will still claim the rumors are false.

On snopes.com it will be categorized as "mostly false." Yes, the store exists, but some other aspects of the rumour were off a bit.

TC still isn’t sure. But they note some paint has be splashed on a wall that is eerily familiar.

Know it all.

The exterior wall is being painted blue. From a distance it looks like a Cineplex

It's the new accent wall colour Walmart is using.

Drove by this the other day. That blue definitely looks familiar. One of these two going in for sure.

Walmart is just being nice and paying for as well as being a front for Ikea. It's so secret when they open it will look exactly like a WalMart!

It's like the old joke:

What do you call cities like Victoria that lack Scandinavian furniture stores?

I have no IKEA!!

It’s obviously a Blockbuster video. Why are we even debating this?
