Ok, so asking those in the know..
- How do they plan to excavate this site with the hole right across at Legato?
- I assume they will avoid that section until it's above ground?
- How much coordination will there be between the two sites; for example, when blasting on Johnson will the Legato crew have to stand down? Will they be compensated for the disruption in their work day, or as Todd Bertuzzi would say, It is what it is?
When developing any property you are always working closely with your neighbours or requiring them to assist in various ways. Cox and Alpha have a good working relationship and that will continue on as both projects get underway.

The western third of the site has now had the asphalt torn up and excavation is well underway. All the plantings along Johnson Street have been cut down and put into a bin on site; only the strip of shrubs/small trees along Vancouver remained when I walked past about 30 minutes ago.

Aren't the building on the McCall parking lot not tearing down the existing McCall building? What am I missing here?

They bought both pieces of property and plan on doing something with the old McCall's building.
